Photometric determination of anionic surfactants.
Under suitable conditions anionic detergents react with methylene blue to form a colored complex, which is extracted with an organic phase according to DIN 38 409-H23. Reference substance is methyl dodecylbenzene sulphonate (MBAS: 342 g/mol) (Reaction basis according to DIN 38409-H23-1).
